    Key Functions and Expected Performance:

    • Works with Instructional Designer(s) to help identify, develop and implement eLearning solutions in support of online course development.
    • Assist Instructional Designer(s) with course evaluation and revision process.
    • Work with Multimedia Producer to assist in creation of production-ready media content that illustrate critical concepts and desired learning outcomes, to be used in classroom or online settings.
    • Work with Instructional Technologist to assist in development eLearning documentation and guides.
    • Monitor and update dashboards, including Course Catalog Syllabus Information & Faculty Community Portal Templates.
    • Serve as a liaison between VU Nursing Faculty Communities and Center for Teaching.
    • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

    Supervisory Relationships:
    This position does not have supervisory responsibility; the position reports administratively and functionally to the Director Online Learning and Instructional Technology

    Education and Certifications:
    Associate’s degree or professional certificate in an appropriate discipline such as Multimedia Development, eLearning, Instructional Design or Educational Technology. (necessary) or, a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study (preferred). Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

    Experience and Skills:
    Technically adept – able to drive learning through technology.
    Experience with modern eLearning technology platforms and learning management systems, preferably Brightspace.
    Demonstrated competence in Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Photoshop CC, Adobe Acrobat DC and Techsmith Camtasia and Captivate.
    Experience in academic coursework development and production.
    Excellent verbal, creative, communication, collaboration, time management and presentation skills.
    Attention to detail and quality standards eLearning development process.
    Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritize tasks and the ability to deal with multiple constituencies concurrently to meet deadlines.
    Proactive problem-solver: demonstrated ability to take the initiative with projects as they are known, and has the ability to work independently.
    High-level organization skills and the ability to learn, adjust, and respond in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
    Experience working effectively with faculty, students, and staff members in a higher education setting.
    A desire to continuously learn and explore emerging eLearning techniques and technologies.
