The Senior Manager of instructional design will lead learning design and development for global programs and courses that support our commercial sales framework. They will work to radically update our instructional design approaches and design tools to deliver exceptional learning experiences to our customer-facing colleagues and their leaders.
The resulting high-impact programs will be used to onboard sales & account development new hires, upskill existing colleagues, and enable leaders to provide effective coaching.
In the end, your work will empower our frontline teams with the skills and confidence to deliver a consistent brand, value proposition, and a seamless experience to prospects and customers – ultimately driving bottom line results.
Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for multiple, complex learning development programs simultaneously with the ability to coordinate tasks and align resources to meet project deadlines
- Review the development and organization of course content to ensure learning experiences are instructionally sound, engaging, memorable, and practical
- Develop creative learner-centered, performance-based training programs, modules, and materials in multiple modalities, including interactive eLearning modules, videos, learning labs, simulations, learning communities, and other learning solutions
- Mentor and develop junior instructional designers in adult learning methodology and technical development skills
- Signoff on outlines, scripts, and finished assets to ensure the instructional alignment, brand integrity, and educational effectiveness of content produced
- Develop deep understanding of intellectual property (e.g., methodologies, programs, brand standards) to ensure content is accurate, sound, and high impact
- Maintain current knowledge and stay abreast of developments in the adult learning, sales training and, instructional design industries to incorporate standard processes and new/innovative technologies and ideas
- Engage with community of customers and end users to better understand the experience learners are having and work to continually elevate our programs
- Build effective working relationships with sales leaders, partner teams, and broader customers
- Monitor usage data, engagement, and qualitative data to report on the impact of initiatives and identify areas for improvement
Minimum requirements:
- 5 years related experience in learning strategies, technologies, and operations
- 3 years of instructional design, writing, and development for blended learning experiences
- Strong program management, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Strong partner engagement at all levels, including senior leaders and partner teams
- Ability to distill and articulate complex concepts in a concise way
- Experience working with Learning Management System Administration including loading content, making assignments, and pulling reporting data
- Proficiency applying Articulate 360 Suite, Adobe, Camtasia, Audacity, and other authoring tools, demonstrated with a portfolio
- Expectation is to be in office 2-3 times per week
Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
