What you will be doing:
- Oversee & assist in the design of training projects that focus on soft skills as well as technical, operational systems, policies & procedures.
- Consult with stakeholders and SMEs (subject matter experts) during development of training to identify needs and gain buy-in.
- Manage overall operations, content and usage of LMS (learning management system).
- Utilize a flexible training approach with the ability to adjust based on audience needs.
- Design, develop, organize, execute & evaluate virtual and in-person training offerings.
- Oversee & participate in creation of training materials & learning deliverables.
- Plan, organize, & implement a range of training experiences in various modes of delivery (in-person, virtual, video, e-learning etc.).
- Effectively and collaboratively communicate with internal teammates & various departments within the organization.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships and partnerships with all stakeholders.
- Think strategically using creative approaches to make timely decisions while functioning with autonomy.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple large projects simultaneously while overcoming obstacles to present both team and individual deliverables by the designated deadline.
- Remain flexible, champion change, and be quick to adapt to a fast-changing environment to meet the needs of the department and the priorities of Morgan Properties.
- Effectively utilize design models such as ADDIE, SAM, and project management techniques to manage projects from initiation to execution.
- Deliver virtual and in-person instructor-led courses as producer, training support, and/or primary facilitator as requested.
- Develop strong relationships with key internal clients and operational stakeholders to establish and maintain open lines of communication, overcome obstacles, resolve conflict and foster collaborative team dynamics to support overall training department goals and value proposition.
- Design and develop instructor-led, in-person or virtual training, self-paced training, eLearning, micro learning, videos, and supporting materials as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Provides overall leadership and management to all members of the instructional design team including goal setting, interpersonal skill development, coaching, development, performance feedback, and communication training.
- Create an environment of trust and seek out diverse perspectives to encourage training improvement and innovation.
- Develop a team instructional design strategy for consistent design, development, and delivery of all training material.
- Review all projects for quality, adherence to brand standards, and effective learning strategy for content and audience.
- Ensure instructional design team adheres to defined internal policies and procedures.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring & training employees; planning, assigning & directing work; appraising performance; rewarding & disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University
- A minimum of 6 years of instructional design experience
- Industry-related experience in Real Estate or Hospitality preferred
- Previous management experience preferred
