If so, Leidos is seeking a Learning & Development Consultant to join the Learning & Development team. This position is a full-time role working closely with technical leadership, learners and line leaders to develop effective and engaging adult learning opportunities for employees in our technical upskilling programs. Primary Responsibilities

  • The Learning & Development Consultant leads the design and implementation of technical upskilling programs.
  • Partners with technical subject matter experts to design a program that supports the goals of the upskilling needs
  • Conducts training needs analysis,
  • Manages eLearning vendors, including engagement of learners and utilization of eLearning content
  • Leads the implementation of the program from a L&D perspective
  • Collaborates with internal clients and external vendors to create solutions that meet upskilling needs.
  • Markets the upskilling program internally and creates solution to engage learners and leaders.
  • Enhances communication and collaboration with learners by providing subject matter expertise as well as responses to employee questions on company Intranet
  • Partners with members of the L&D team to design solution in Workday Learning to include tracking, reporting, program enrollment process, vendor integrations and instructional design needs.
  • Leads the evaluation of the technical upskilling program and drives continual improvements.
  • Maintains knowledge of and relationships with outside organizations that provide certification/training that benefit our workforce such as ATD, CompTIA, PMI, INCOSE etc.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related HR field and 4+ years related experience; 8+ years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with Learning and content management systems, Workday a plus
  • Computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint, HTML and intranet
  • A high level of self-initiative, passion, enthusiasm, solutions oriented
  • Ability to work well in a virtual environment
  • Demonstrated consulting skills partnering with Technical Subject Matter Experts
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and strong team collaboration skills
  • Communication skills in visual, oral, and written forms and the ability to clearly explain instructional options, recommendations, and the design rationale to decision-makers and subject matter experts
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Must have good analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to operate independently and communicate effectively with technical staff, peers, and management
  • Experience with Instructional Systems Design (ISD) a plus
  • Experience conducting evaluations, analyzing and determining action plan, natural language processing a plus

Preferred Qualifications

  • Analyze learning objectives against program requirements and gathering data for various levels of evaluation and assessment
  • Course design for online and blended-learning environments, incorporating technologies into the design and delivery of the courses
  • Evaluate courses and analyzing the of evaluation data to review the courses and their impact on learning

Pay Range:

Pay Range $57,850.00 – $89,000.00 – $120,150.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
