Role Summary:
As an Instructional Designer you will partner to assess, design and develop learning initiatives that spread across all EBlock Sales & Operation locations from Canada to the US. This role plays a critical part in designing and developing our sales learning materials to upskill new and existing employees on our products, tools and sales processes. You are a seasoned design professional and will have the opportunity to collaborate with a vibrant and fun team of learning and sales professionals. Great project and change management skills, a “customer first” mentality, and an appetite for learning are the key to success in this role.
What You Will Do:
- Act as the steward of learning standards by consulting with subject matter experts to identify business and behavioral objectives through appropriate discovery assessment
- Design and develop comprehensive learning solutions, incorporating multiple deliverables (online, video, simulations, Instructor-led, Virtual, etc.), to meet business and performance objectives
- Manage all functions of eLearning design, including;
- Storyboarding, scripting, recording and editing audio/ video
- Assessments and interactivity/ gamification
- Create and implement evaluations plans to demonstrate business impact of training initiatives
- Act as lead project manager for learning programs by maintaining accurate status of project milestones and tasks while informing stakeholders of progress
- Promote collaboration and partnerships through company change and act as a champion for all learning and development initiatives
- Partner with Senior Instructional Designer, L&D Sales Coaches and Sales Trainers in the design and creation of learning materials for Sales Onboarding and Coaching Programs
- Serve as a mentor and/or knowledge resource to less experienced teammates
- Maintain current knowledge of latest industry tools and processes
What You Will Need:
- 3 – 5 years of designing, developing, and implementing learning solutions in a corporate environment
- Proven experience in creating on-demand video tutorials for complex technical tools
- Experience designing eLearning in course authoring tools (Articulate 360, Captivate, Camtasia)
- An engaging virtual stage presence during video/ audio production
- Strong writing, graphic design, and multimedia skills, including experience with VIMEO
- Ability to utilize adult learning concepts to tailor development and training programs to meet business needs
- General understanding of virtual learning platforms and tools (Zoom, MS Teams, Adobe Connect)
- Embodies a client service mindset, strong collaborator able to operate as a value-added business partner with a solutions orientation
- Exposure to Learning Management Systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational & time management skills; able to juggle multiple projects and priorities
- Google Suite & MS Office proficiency
- Undergraduate degree in Instructional Design, HR, business, or related curriculum
Working Conditions:
- Ability to conduct and attend meetings
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer, cell phone and peripherals.
- Ability to travel as required
