    The IT Learning & Development Manager is responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive IT training programs for attorneys and professional staff. This role will collaborate with the Director of Technology Services, Human Resources, and the Professional Development teams to design and implement innovative training strategies that address the unique needs of our diverse workforce. The manager will also utilize third-party resources as necessary to enhance training quality and effectiveness.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Deliver or facilitate training on firm-supported software through various methods, including classroom sessions, webinars, videoconferences, one-on-one coaching, and eLearning content.
    • Provide or facilitate technical training for new hires, ensuring effective onboarding.
    • Collaborate with management, user groups, and external providers to develop and maintain a curriculum focused on workflow.
    • Design, develop, and implement training strategies that align with the firm’s learning objectives.
    • Act as a user experience advocate on firm-wide project teams, contributing from project inception through implementation by testing software, developing training strategies, and producing supporting documentation.
    • Conduct training needs analyses to identify performance gaps and recommend appropriate training solutions.
    • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand specific needs across roles, business units, and office locations, and deliver tailored training solutions.
    • Stay updated on the latest trends in training technology and instructional design to continually improve training programs.
    • Maintain comprehensive training records within a Learning Management System (LMS).
    • Leverage and manage 3rd party services where possible to provide training resources, services, and content.
    • Travel to firm offices as needed to deliver on-site training.
    • Undertake additional responsibilities as required to support the firm’s learning and development initiatives.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven experience in training and development within a professional services environment, preferably within a law firm.
    • Minimum of 8 years of experience delivering technical training and creating training documentation.
    • 3-5 years of experience managing internal training teams and coordinating with third-party vendors for content delivery.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization.
    • Excellent group facilitation skills with the ability to adapt content for different audiences and delivery methods.
    • Highly organized with strong analytical abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.

    Education / Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
    • Extensive experience in training and development, particularly within professional services.

    Skills & Abilities:

    • Proficiency in technical writing, with the ability to produce clear, precise training materials and user documentation. A writing sample may be requested.
    • Experience with Learning Management Systems, Document Management Systems (iManage Work preferred), Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office 365, Kofax PDF Pro, Time Entry & Billing Programs (Intapp Time preferred), and Document Template and Numbering software (Litera preferred).
    • Experience in eLearning development.
    • Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours as needed.
