What You’ll Do:
- Develop innovative learning content that supports a variety of training programs including webinars, virtual classrooms, eLearning, in-person and blended learning environments
- Create and update training curricula including participant guides, handouts, and job aids
- Provide guidance and support to the internal training team including best practice sharing, troubleshooting, and other day to day direction regarding training objectives
- Advise and support content storage initiatives within Learning
- Develop evaluation activities that measure the effectiveness of training programs and initiatives
- Support learning operations and technology areas, such as (but not limited to) learning management systems and Learning’s SharePoint site
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure that training materials with clear instructions are published and delivered within the required time frames
- Serve as a learning consultant to leaders in all areas of business
- Educate the Learning team on the advanced features of content creation software
- Stay up to date with current market trends within the L&D field
- Perform other duties as assigned
Work Experience
- 10+ years of instructional design experience in the electrical distribution industry or with specialty wire and cable
- Expertise with programs such as Articulate 360 Storyline and Rise, Microsoft O365, screen capture software, and video content creation and editing software. Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud a plus
- Relentless diligence and accuracy when creating learning content
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information
- A solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to demonstrate training impact to key business partners by creating survey information and summary data
- Ability to conduct training including in-person and web-based setting
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant certificate within the L&D field
- Willingness to travel, with notice
- A passport, or the ability to obtain one, to travel to Canada as needed
