Instructional Designer with solid experience developing and maintaining strong working relationships with business leaders, stakeholders, and team members. In this contingent staff position with a global financial services firm, the successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with business and technology owners to understand project requirements, define learning objectives, map them to the appropriate learning modality, and design/develop new and update existing training materials.
The candidate will have proficiency with Articulate and Rise 360, as well as Photoshop, Audition, MS Office, and loading/managing courseware in an LCMS.
Note: This is a HYBRID role, requiring 3 days onsite/2 days offsite. As this is a non-negotiable requirement, please only apply for this position if you are able and willing to work onsite 3 days/week. Candidates looking to work in a remote position will not be considered.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
- Establish, maintain, and support strong working relationships with Business Leaders, SMEs, Product Team members, and the Training Team.
- Consult with business and technology owners to understand project details and downstream impacts to existing processes.
- Conduct needs assessment based on impact across all audiences.
- Define learning objectives and goals for success. Map these to the appropriate and effective learning modality to meet desired objectives and build a robust training curriculum.
- Design/develop new and update/edit/maintain existing training and support materials. effective modality to meet desired objectives. Content will focus on systems/technology, products, account types, policies and procedures, and soft skills.
- Instructor Led Training (ILT) – Both virtual and classroom: It is anticipated that this will (at least initially) encompass about 75% of the of the materials to be developed and updated. Deliverables will include Facilitator Guides, Participant Guides, Self-Study Guides and Tools, among others. The ratio between work on ILT and elearning is likely to shift to some extent during the overall term of this engagement.
- Elearning courses containing interactivity, quizzes, videos, etc. primarily using Articulate Storyline and Rise 360, along with Photoshop, Audition, and MS Office tools – from concept through implementation to achieve business partners’ goals, including authoring storyboards and scripts
- Support materials: Quick reference cards and online reference materials.
- Load courseware and documentation to a Content Management System, interlinking content to internal and external content as needed, and managing pages within the site for clean, intuitive, accurate display.
- Document workflow processes end-to-end for on-the-job performance support.
- Demonstrate accountability and a strong work ethic to promote confidence and trust in your work.
- Possess exemplary communication, presentation, organization, and time-management skills.
Qualifications
- 3-7+ years in an instructional design role, with and understanding of and experience with implementing adult learning theories
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or other training related degree (Preferred, but not required)
- 2+ years in financial services or other regulated industry (Preferred, but not required)
- Technology:
- Advanced experience with the following tools:
- Articulate Storyline 360
- Rise 360
- Adobe Creative Cloud Components, primarily Photoshop and Audition
- MS Office Suite, primarily Word and PPT
- Loading and managing courseware and documentation into a Content Management System
- Adobe Captivate (Working knowledge / Nice to have)
- Advanced experience with the following tools:
- Experience with establishing, maintaining, and supporting strong working relationships with Business Leaders, SMEs, Project Teams, and the Training Team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines and rapid turnaround
