Video Interviewing Startup Spark Hire Acquires Talent Assessment Platform Chally

-

Spark Hire, a video interviewing platform that helps thousands of organizations make better, more collaborative, & quicker hiring decisions, has announced the acquisition of Chally, a talent assessment platform, for an undisclosed amount. According to the press statement, the deal will enable Spark Hire to expand its talent acquisition site to thousands of companies worldwide.

Founded in 1973, Chally provides assessment reports of potential hires to clients, including some in the Fortune 500. Headquartered in Dayton, Ohio, the firm aims to help companies make successful and efficient appointments of leaders and employees. Its assessments use a mix of science and technology to provide detailed information on the candidate’s strengths, weaknesses, attitude, work ethic and other vital characteristics.

Speaking on the deal, Chief Executive Officer of Spark Hire, Josh Tolan, said:

The acquisition of Chally is a major milestone for Spark Hire. It will help us expand our suite of innovative and trusted candidate assessment tools and deepen our commitment to providing the industry’s best and most effective interviewing experience.

Spark Hire will continue to operate normally following the acquisition, and no action is necessary from its customers. The firm also stated that it will continue to invest in the platform’s development, with additional features and products coming soon.

Spark Hire was established in 2010 with the goal of assisting all organizations in improving their recruiting efficiency and effectiveness by providing an innovative and modern SaaS platform. Over 6,000 organizations have interviewed millions of candidates across 100+ countries on the platform. In June this year, the Illinois-based Spark Hire merged with leading ATS provider Comeet.
