upGrad & NITTE Partner to Support Engineering Graduates With FSD Specialisation

upGrad, an upskilling platform services provider for management professionals, has collaborated with NITTE (Deemed to be University), Mangalore. Through this partnership, both the organisation’s aims to support the B.Tech students with the added Full Stack Development (FSD) specialisation to power the skill competencies, according to an official statement.

The collaboration aims to increase the number of job-ready professionals proficient in modern-day technologies, thereby supporting India’s goal of becoming a global talent hub. The specialisation will begin in the first year, be integrated into the university curriculum, and designed for engineering students interested in pursuing a career in the Information Technology sector. The statement further mentioned that it includes 1400 hours of learning content, over 300 live sessions, 11 projects, and case studies, in line with the B.Tech syllabus to provide a practical learning experience.

Speaking on the collaboration, Chief Executive Officer of upGrad Campus, Amit Mahensaria, said:

upGrad campus is focused on bringing heavily practice-oriented curriculums to its learners, and this association is an extension of our commitment. We want our learners to better understand the subject from the beginning while also helping them acquire market-ready skills for real-life business problems.

As part of the specialisation module, upGrad Campus will provide placement support and access to an exclusive job portal to learners in their final year, enhancing their employability prospects. It offers industry-ready courses to various institutions across India to boost employment opportunities.

NITTE offers a total of 74 programs in the disciplines of medicine, allied health sciences, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, physiotherapy, speech and audiology, biological sciences, media and communication and Architecture. The institute has over 4600+ students, 575 faculty members and 2175 support staff on roll. It aims to develop a Centre of Excellence imparting quality education and generating a competent, skilled workforce to face scientific and social challenges with high credibility, integrity, ethical standards and social concern.

Founded by Ronnie Screwvala, Mayank Kumar, and Phalgun Kompalli in 2015, upGrad spans several segments—from test prep and study abroad to undergrad degrees and campus courses in 250 universities.
