Teachers – Use this smart trick to open any YouTube Video without any distractions

-

YouTube is one of the most helpful video resource portal which can be used for all sort of lessons. Modern educators look around YouTube as their first source of information. The platform is filled with all sorts of educational videos and modern trends. In this post, we will see how you can use YouTube videos in your classroom without the surrounding distracting elements.

In recent years, YouTube has become an essential tool for educators to enhance the learning experience of students. With millions of videos available on the platform, it offers a vast library of content to use in the classroom.

While using the YouTube videos in your online classroom can increase the student learning and grab their attention. But on the other hand, with a lot of distracting elements like Advertisements, Recommended videos, and Comments, it is difficult for students to remain focused.

Luckily, there is a smart trick which you can use to use any YouTube video in your online classroom without any distraction. Your students will be able to focus on the video content. To do that, all you need is to just copy the YouTube video URL. For Example, while searing for Lesson plan, I found this video in YouTube here –

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPpW9UVb_90

But if I use this link to embed it in my course, it may produce other distracting elements like Comments, recommended videos etc. You can simply launch this video in full screen mode by adding “_popup” after the word “watch” in the video URL. So, if instead of the above-mentioned link, I will use the below one:

https://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=XPpW9UVb_90

You can make use of this feature to let your students focus more on their learning instead of wandering around on other stuff on YouTube.

What are the other useful features which you would like to share with other educators? Please share with us in the comments section below.
