Safe Exam browser updated for iOS & MacOS devices

Safe Exam Browser is the open source web browser environment to carry out e-assessments safely. The software turns any computer temporarily into a secure workstation. It controls access to resources like system functions, other websites and applications and prevents unauthorized resources being used during an exam.

Safe Exam Browser is widely used across educational institutions to safeguard the exams. It runs on a local computer and it is connected via the internet to a learning management system (LMS) or an e-assessment system. Many popular LMS systems such as Moodle, ILIAS, Inspera Assessment supports Safe Exam Browser.

Recently the Safe Exam Browser has been updated for Apple devices including the iOS & MacOS devices. The updates are mainly for fixing the known issues with some new features. For the MacOS devices, update fixes issues regarding file download, the Settings (formerly known as Preferences) window and allows exporting uncompressed configuration files (for example for directly importing it into Moodle). Also contains several security fixes.

For the iOS devices, the update allows exporting uncompressed configuration files (for example for directly importing it into Moodle) and corrects various issues.

You can download the latest version of Safe Exam Browser from the official website here.
