Safe Exam Browser is the open source browser to take your e-assessments safely. The software turns any computer temporarily into a secure workstation. It controls access to resources like system functions, other websites and applications and prevents unauthorized resources being used during an exam.

The Safe Exam Browser for Windows has been updated to a new version with new features. This feature update adds signature verification for third-party applications, provides version restriction by configuration file and adds an isolated clipboard implementation as well as important bug fixes and improvements.

The new Safe Exam Browser (SEB) 3.6.0 for Windows include following new features:

  • Implemented signature verification for application monitoring.
  • Implemented version restriction functionality.
  • Improved virtual machine detection.
  • Implemented isolated clipboard functionality.
  • Implemented support for configuration data URIs.
  • Added Dutch / Flemish, Estonian, Russian and Spanish translation.
  • Updated browser engine to version 118.6.80 (Chromium version 118.0.5993.117)

Safe Exam Browser (SEB) integrates with the wide spread learning management systems (LMS) Moodle, ILIAS, Sakai and OpenOlat and several commercial and non-commercial exam systems, as for example Inspera Assessment.
