Recruitroo, an Irish recruitment and migration platform, has raised $1.1 million (€1.0 million) in a funding round led by Delta Partners, with participation from Enterprise Ireland and some angel investors.
Dublin-headquartered Recruitroo was founded in April 2022 by Shane Kiernan and Stephen MacCarthy with a mission to use software to simplify and enhance the international recruitment process for both employers and candidates. Its services are designed to support Irish and UK companies that aim to source international talent across various industries. The platform provides a pool of potential employees who have registered and created profiles, enabling employers to assess and select candidates based on their specific requirements.
Commenting on the fundraising, Co-founder of Recruitroo, Shane Kiernan, said:
This investment, plus the addition of Andreea, marks a significant milestone for Recruitroo as we strive to transform the international hiring landscape. We are committed to empowering businesses to access top global talent seamlessly while ensuring compliance and simplifying the international recruitment process.
Dermot Berkery, General Partner of Delta Partners, added:
The labour shortages experienced in Ireland, across Europe, and the US are a major contributor to economic challenges. Our investment in Recruitroo goes to the heart of solving these challenges. We believe that Recruitroo’s innovative approach will majorly impact the challenges. Their technology-driven solution has the potential to revolutionise the industry, and we are excited to support Recruitroo’s journey.
Chief Executive Officer of Enterprise Ireland, Leo Clancy, commented:
Attracting talent is one of the most significant issues facing businesses. Recruitroo is bringing solutions to the market that address this fundamental challenge. Enterprise Ireland has backed Recruitroo since its early days. We are confident that the innovation and vision of Shane, Stephen and their team will ensure they continue to compete and win in global markets.
The company’s innovative platform offers unique features that set it apart in the recruitment industry. One of these is the video-based profiles, which provide a comprehensive picture of a candidate’s skills, personality, and current working environment, going beyond what a traditional CV might offer. This helps employers quickly evaluate core skills, assess language and communication ability, and appreciate the context in which candidates work.
