Moodle teachers – Use the Menutopic Course format to enhance your students learning experience

-

Moodle LMS is the world’s premier open source Learning Management system with more than 370+ million users around the world. By default, Moodle LMS comes with 4 different course formats which defined how your online courses appear for your students. In this post, we will have a look at one of the contributed Moodle course format known as the Menutopic Course format.

The Menutopic course format plugin can be a valuable tool for instructors who want to create a more structured learning experience for their students. By organizing their courses into a menu, instructors can make it easier for students to find the information they need. Additionally, the Menutopic plugin can help to improve the navigation of courses, making it easier for students to move from one topic to another.

How to use the Menutopic Course format plugin

After installing the menutopic course format plugin, you can start creating menus for your courses. To create a menu, you will need to go to the “Course administration” page for the course you want to create a menu for. Then, click on the “Menutopic” tab. In the “Menutopic” tab, you will see a box where you can enter the name of the menu. You can also choose to hide the menu from students.

Once you have entered the name of the menu, you can start adding topics to it. To add a topic, click on the “Add topic” button. In the “Add topic” dialog box, you will need to enter the name of the topic and the URL of the activity or resource you want to link to the topic.

You can also customize the appearance of the menu. To do this, click on the “Settings” tab. In the “Settings” tab, you can change the font, font size, and color of the menu. You can also choose to show or hide the menu title.

You can download the Menutopic course format plugin from the official plugins repository here.
