Moodle LMS is world’s most popular open source learning management system (LMS). It has been built around the social constructionist pedagogy which makes it easier for teachers to built modern learning solutions with Moodle. However, there may be times that as a teacher you have wrongly configured a Quiz Question and it has been attempted by your students. In this post we will see how you can award correct grade to students in such a scenario.
Let’s suppose that you have created a Moodle quiz in your course but you have wrongly marked an answer as correct option. When students attempted the quiz, they may have selected the correct option but didn’t received any grades since it was not configured correctly.
In this case, you can use the ‘Regrade All’ function in the Moodle quiz. But before proceeding to regrade, you need to fix the question which created the problem. For that, you can find that question in the question bank and make necessary changes to reflect the correct answers.
Once you have fixed the problematic question, then you can Go to the quiz that needs to be regraded. Click the Results tab on the top secondary navigation bar. On this page, click the Regrade all button. This will re-run the students’ answers against what’s in the question bank, so will fix scores on questions with incorrectly marked answers. Click Continue when prompted. Now in the quiz grades table, you’ll see students’ grades have been adjusted.
