Moodle Admins - Use filtercodes plugin to create more personalised user experience

Moodle is the most popular open source Learning Management System in the world. It is being used by more than 350 million users across 242 countries around the globe. Great collection of Moodle plugins is among one of the major key reasons behind Moodle’s popularity. In this post, I will share my views about the Filtercodes plugin.

The filtercodes plugin is a very handy and useful plugin. It allows you to easily customize and personalize the site and course content. As a content creator you can use pre-defined tags to make a more personalised user experience for your students. There are more than 175 plain-text tags already available for use.

You can download the filtercodes Moodle plugin from the official plugins directory here. In case you are new to Moodle LMS, you can follow this guide to learn how to install Moodle plugins. Once installed, you can start using the tags almost everywhere in Moodle.

Usage of the FilterCodes tags requires no knowledge of HTML. So, you can use personalised tags like {firstname}, {fullname}, {city},{username}, {email} etc. In addition there are many more UI elements like {courseprogress},{mycourses}, {teamcards}, {coursegrade} , {coursecount students} etc.

Check out the full list of available tags here. The plugin also works well with Contact Form and other plugins.
