The Enrol by user profile fields plugin allows you to enrol the students based on the values of profile field. This is particularly useful for Moodle users who are using external authentication scheme like Shibboleth or LDAP etc. In that case, you can store values in hidden user fields of the users’ Moodle profile, and then use these values to automatically enrol users if some courses.

Once installed, you can specify the configuration settings for the plugin. Before that please make sure to add some custom profile fields in your_moodle/user/profile/index.php You need to select the fields which needs to be used by this plugin.
You can configure to un-enrol the user once the profile field don’t match the attribute rule anymore. You can also choose the role for the users from student, teacher or non-editing teacher or Manager.
On the course enrollment settings page, you can create logical conditions with AND, OR criteria. The conditions can be nested into a group to give you complete control. You can also choose to enrol students into groups if required.
The plugin seems to be working its specified job quite well. It may be useful for those Moodle users who are using external systems for authentication. With this plugin you can enrol the students easily based on their custom profile field values.
