Moodle 4.1 – the upcoming major version of the Moodle LMS is all set to make it one of the most feature rich release. The next Moodle LTS version will include many new features and improved UX/UI for different areas. As per the recent updates, the Moodle 4.1 code freeze will happen on October 17. The new major version is scheduled to be released on November 28.
After the code freeze on October 17, the Integration team will not accept any new code. It will be followed by the QA cycle which is scheduled to commence from October 24. Among the key issues fixed in this week, the major development is that the Label resource in Moodle will be renamed. With Moodle 4.1, the Label resource will be named as Text and Media. The other major updates include:
- Create a new “Grades summary” report in the grade book
- Provide a way to set HTML Editor content regardless of the current editor
- VideoJS library upgrade to 7.20.3
- Mustache Library upgrade to 2.14.2
