Lava International, a famous smartphone manufacturer, has partnered with Doubtnut, a homegrown education technology startup. The partnership aims at providing access to quality education to students through smartphones.

Under the partnership, Lava’s upcoming smartphone will come pre-loaded with the Doubtnut app, providing a free subscription to quality education for students. In addition, students will also get access to Doubtnut’s instant doubt-solving platform.

Commenting on the partnership, President & Business Head of Lava, Sunil Raina, said:

Our partnership with Doubtnut aligns with our larger vision – ‘to empower people to do more, to be more’. The partnership enables us to reach out to more students across India. With this association, we want to ensure that the aspirations of the youth are nurtured and valued.”

Founded in 2017 by Tanushree Nagori and Aditya Shankar, Doubtnut uses AI technologies for image recognition, natural language processing, and proprietary machine learning algorithms to solve students’ queries. The platform currently offers over 100 courses, including courses for CBSE Boards (UP, Bihar) and 14 other state boards; IIT/NEET/NDA preparation, govt exams such as CTET, SSC, Banking and also special courses like spoken English.

The Doubtnut app is accessible 24×7 to students and apart from online courses, Doubtnut’s USP is instant doubt solving, where a student can clear his or her doubt just by clicking the image of the question and getting an instant video solution.

Aditya Shankar, Founder of Doubtnut, added:

We are glad to be part of the Lava family, echoing the feeling of Proudly Indian. Together we aim to create an impact and touch students’ lives, enabling them to shape our nation’s future. As part of the 1-year free course subscription, students can access Doubtnut’s premium courses in both Hindi and English.

Last year, Doubtnut announced its collaboration with SwiftChat, a leading conversational AI platform, intending to enable students to solve and understand math and science problems in a language of their choice. In 2021. the company had raised an investment of INR 224 crores (~USD 31 million) from SIG and Lupa Systems.

Lava’s upcoming smartphone will come pre-loaded with a free subscription to Doubtnut’s course material for classes 9th to 12th (worth up to Rs 12,000) for one year.
