Jordan-Based Abwaab Launches ChatGPT-Powered Test-Prep Experience

Abwaab, MENA’s fastest-growing education technology company, recently announced that it has integrated OpenAI’s ChatGPT to equip its students with a more personalized and richer test-prep experience. With this integration, students in the region can receive immediate, personalized feedback on open-ended questions.

Founded in September 2019 by former General Manager of Uber for the GCC and Levant, Hamdi Tabbaa, Sabri Hakim, and AI expert Hussein AlSarabi, Abwaab aims to improve the out-of-school learning experiences for Arabic-speaking youth by making high-quality education accessible to every student regardless of socioeconomic background.

Speaking about the initiative, Co-founder & CEO of Abwaab, Hamdi Tabbaa, said:

Our vision is to unleash the potential of students in the region by providing them with a high-quality, accessible, and personalized educational experience. Leveraging the latest AI technologies allows us to make big strides towards this. We are excited about what this integration will bring to the millions of students who rely on us.

Since most secondary-school ministry examinations in MENA contain this question type and there has been a reliable resource for students today, the latest development marks a massive milestone for EdTech in the region with over 100 million students. This integration will allow Abwaab to double down on building and diversifying its question bank, further cementing its title as the region’s test-prep powerhouse.

Since its inception, the startup has built a comprehensive national curriculum test-prep experience for secondary-school students from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iraq, and Jordan. Students can practice, get tested, and compete against one another, all in one place. The platform also offers other high-in-demand features such as video lessons, live sessions and a forum for Q&A with subject matter experts.
