Job Summary: The Training Specialist is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and conducting specialized training requirements for a college, department, or division.
Additional Department Summary: The Learning and Development Specialist designs, develops, implements, evaluates, and delivers learning and development solutions to support individual and team performance, skill building, and organizational development utilizing a variety of delivery formats and systems.
Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of professional experience developing and delivering training.
Skills and Knowledge: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong presentation/public speaking skills. Ability to work with a diverse clientele, in groups and individually. Ability to design and deliver effective training and development solutions using a variety of delivery methods. Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software. Knowledge of survey tools (Qualtrics, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in education, adult learning, organizational development, instructional design, or instructional technology. Experience working with Learning Management Systems. Experience with eLearning authoring tools and web development tools (Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia, WordPress, etc.). Experience in higher education. Experience presenting, teaching, and training. Experience with front-line customer service and troubleshooting
