We are seeking a Training Development Specialist to plan, coordinate, and develop training activities and materials to improve individual and organizational performance.
Position Overview: Training Development Specialist will conduct comprehensive needs analysis and design and develop objectives, curricula, instructor guides, student workbooks, job aids, course outlines, Self-Paced-eLearnings, and other course material utilizing the HPT, ABCD, and ISD models and evaluate the effectiveness for all courses.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to provide Front End analysis, development of course outlines, instructor guides, student workbooks, job aids, PowerPoint presentations, eLearning modules, examinations, and examination critiques.
- Experience in Articulate Storyline 360, RoboHelp, Lectora, Photoshop and HTML to build courses.
- Well versed in achieving 508 compliancy for all training materials.
- Well versed in DHS Enterprise Architecture policies, standards, and procedures
- Ability to oversee statistical analysis of course results, course critiques, and follow-up evaluations, including Level 3 evaluations.
- Ability to facilitate meetings, present materials, and participate in project planning and/or work groups as assigned.
- Assist in developing process and procedures as well as process improvements for training staff and clients to achieve training objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Degree in relevant field such as Instructional Design, Adult Education or Human Performance Technology
- Five (5) years experience in Instructional Design or training development or similar
- Shall be able to read, write, understand, and speak English in a clear, intelligible manner.
- Experience with FEA, HPT, ABCD and ISD methodologies
- Experience with US Coast Guard training compliance requirements and US Coast Guard training, preferred.
- Ability to travel – some travel may be required to gather requirements for training analysis and design.
- Have or be able to pass PCL security clearance as needed at the Secret level and maintain this status throughout the contract. Ability to always present a professional appearance and always conduct themselves professionally.
