As a member of the Learning & Development team, collaborates to develop and revise content for enterprise-wide courses and training programs. Partners with teams, has a strong customer service orientation, and is effective at communicating with employees, leaders, and working across departmental lines. Operates in a strong team-based environment where collaboration is critical for fulfilling the needs of the business and relies heavily on individual execution and delivery of learning development objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provides support in the development of quality, comprehensive, and engaging training content for functional and leadership training programs.
- Prepares training materials including, but not limited to, presentations, facilitator guides, quick reference materials, job aids, and class exercises.
- Keeps abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques.
- Enters and maintains accurate training data as needed.
- Demonstrates flexibility and can effectively manage changes in project scope, timelines, and priorities.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Associate’s degree in a related field AND one (1) years of experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred:
- Advanced proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, to include Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, Word, Excel
- Experience using a variety of development tools such as Articulate 360,with a focus on Articulate Storyline and Rise, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Creative Suite Camtasia, and Vyond.
- Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) .
- Experience developing training content for instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, and eLearning environments. General understanding of adult learning principles.
- Experience working in a security -related field.
- Developing course content in both functional and soft skill areas.
- Prioritizing and managing multiple stakeholders and tasks in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
- Collaborating and developing influence and strong work relationships across all levels.
- Problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Both verbal and written communication with a diverse population at all levels within the organization as well as outside parties.
This is a full-time position. Work hours will vary depending on client schedules, project deadlines, and the needs of the company. Workweeks may exceed 40 hours. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Environment may be fast paced and stressful.
