    We are looking for a Training Design and Development Specialist to join our Case Management and Quality Performance T eam in the Office of Community Living!

    This position can work fully remotely from anywhere in the State of Colorado.
    **Please note – equipment provisioning and certain onboarding tasks will take place in person, in our downtown Denver office, on the first day of employment.**

     

    Description of Job

    What you’ll be doing:

    • On behalf of the Department, this position is responsible for developing training materials for members and community partners to educate on the programs and services offered through the Office of Community Living. Position develops training materials in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Materials will be created in multiple formats and comply with all Americans with Disabilities Act 508 compliance requirements.
    • Position develops new and updated training materials for CMAs using various modalities including Articulate Storyline 360, Audacity and/or Camtasia (or other audio/visual software), Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Google Suite, and applying Graphic Design concepts and its applications to be held on the Department Learning Management System site. Position manages Learning Management System.
    • This position provides technical assistance to CMAs to enhance CMA training and performance.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education and Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or Public Policy or a field of study related to the work assignment AND three (3) years of professional experience in instructional design, adult learning theory or training development.

    Substitutions:

    Additional appropriate experience will substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.

    Additional appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.


    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Previous state experience in Instructional design, training, or project management
    • Preference will be given to those with a degree in Instructional Design (or a related eLearning development focus) OR additional work experience above the minimum requirements specific to instructional design and training development.
    • More than 2 years developing system/technical training courses for adult learners using various modalities including advanced experience developing software training for adult learners specifically using Articulate Storyline 360 and its applications. Experience training in a virtual environment.
    • Intermediate skills using Audacity and/or Camtasia (or other audio/visual software), Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Google Suite, and applying Graphic Design concepts
    • Experience with Long Term Services and Supports; Home and Community Based Services Case Management, Public Policy and Medicaid programs.

    DEFINITION OF PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Work that involves exercising discretion, analytical skill, judgment, personal accountability, and responsibility for creating, developing, integrating, applying, and sharing an organized body of knowledge that characteristically is uniquely acquired through an intense education or training regimen at a recognized college or university; equivalent to the curriculum requirements for a bachelor’s or higher degree with major study in or pertinent to the specialized field; and continuously studied to explore, extend, and use additional discoveries, interpretations, and application and to improve data, materials, equipment, applications and methods.
