Systems Control

Overview: The individual will evaluate, design, coordinate and sustain a comprehensive range of training programs that can be housed in a learning management system. This requires interacting with all levels of staff, gaining a keen understanding of the business and products, and collaborating with various internal and external business partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring accurate curriculum design, including safety and quality best practices.
  • Analyzes and assesses training and development needs for each position.
  • Develop job skill checklists and associated training programs to ensure employee readiness to perform the work.
  • Designs, develops, evaluates and updates training content, materials, manuals, tests and related training aids to ensure optimum effectiveness.
  • Determines most effective instructional methods and tools based on assessment and/or specified training needs including individual training, group instruction, demonstrations, meetings, eLearning, workshops, refreshers, in person, virtual, and/or self-study.
  • Manages administrative functions necessary to deliver, document, and track training programs. This includes scheduling, employee notification, and execution of training delivery.
  • Prepares and reports on training delivery and curriculum effectiveness.
  • Develops train-the-trainer programs where applicable.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in training and development
  • Associate degree in Business Administration, Media/Journalism, or related field.
  • Working knowledge of and experience with learning management systems.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with all levels in and outside of the organization. (i.e., consultants, trainers, etc.)
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Proficient in MS Office and database
  • Experience utilizing various forms of technology related to the purposes of training.
  • Ability to work independently as well on a team.
  • Must be a self-starter and excellent relationship builder.
