General Summary: The Training Content Specialist develops and maintains our databases of instructional, training, and procedural reference materials for all employees; often partnering with various departments to create, design, or update materials.
Essential Job Duties:
- Partner with various departments and subject matter experts to gather data and analyze instructional needs.
- Design materials to fit department needs and FiveStar standards for consistency.
- Develop materials and send for testing to pre-selected groups and department heads.
- Evaluate existing materials and documents for updates and/or removal of outdated information.
- Analyze training reports to improve effectiveness of materials.
- Maintain database of materials in online sources, including the overall organization of materials and
posting/uploading materials.
- Proof materials provided by other departments and edit as needed for grammar.
- Ensure materials fit FiveStar standards (fonts, logos, graphics) before posting/uploading.
- May assist in photography or videography at times.
Physical Requirements:
This is a generally sedentary position, with work performed in an office setting, and may include long periods of sitting and looking at a computer screen. Some day travel to local stores may be required at times, for the purposes of gathering information, pictures, or videos.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Education, or Communications; or equivalent experience.
- Proficient with Adobe Systems software.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Proficient in an eLearning Authoring Tool preferred.
- Knowledge of the principles and methods for training design.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Professional appearance and a positive attitude.
- Team player, honest, hardworking, and excellent attendance.
