Sr. Instructional Designer

Remote/ Full-time

Your responsibilities

 
The Senior Instructional Designer is responsible for leading the design team on all content strategy, solutions, development, creation and deployment for eLearning, virtual-blended, showroom and in-person training centered on B/S/H product. This position is also responsible for supporting the company’s mission and vision by driving consistency and executing purposeful change through the development of Learning and Learning Marketing materials, programs and systems to insure they are current, accurate, relevant and effective for all B/S/H product.

 

The Senior Designer should be able to accomplishing results on multiple projects consecutively while maintaining a high attention to detail insuring a consistent brand image that attracts customers by encouraging sales.

 
 
·   The Senior Instructional Designer leads instructional design staff and provides guidance when applicable.
·   Maintains the life cycle maintenance for predesigned complex learning solutions for a Sales audience that can include learning solutions such as multi-day structured learning events, blended designs, non-linear designs, self-development designs, multiple course curricula, action learning, and media-based learning.
·   May also leverage gamification, interactive multimedia, video micro learning, peer-to-peer learning, scenario-based learning and content curation.
·   Creates and manages the deliverables for current training solutions while developing new ideas and solutions related to multiple sales-related audiences to include: Customer Sales Associates, Builder and Design communities.
·   Performs official reviews of online courses and other instructional materials and activities, regardless of modality, to recommend revisions that are in accordance with best practices or other standards and the expected learning outcomes.
·   Manages creation, quality control, proofreading, and distribution of eLearning courseware, training PowerPoints, Wiki Pages, SharePoint sites and training related marketing materials.
·   Skilled in story-telling, have an eye for beautiful imagery and possess technical background to work efficiently.
·   Collaborate with both product and brand marketing team members to generate concepts and take lead in production, shooting and editing of learning materials.
·   Creating and maintaining instructional programs from inception to completion independently.

·   Skilled in creating Marketing campaigns associated with Learning Deliverables to increase engagement.

·   Serves as project manager for assigned learning and development projects often involving cross functional teams and subject matter experts (SMEs).
·   Designs and develops training curricula to support the implementation of new products and/or for topics related to skills development, organizational effectiveness, compliance, etc.
·   Experience incorporating adult learning principles, learning styles, and training-delivery platforms.
·   Works collaboratively with SMEs, technical staff, project managers, brand marketing colleagues, and executives, in planning and scoping requirements for curriculum including; Storyboarding, authoring, and development of e-learning content and blended learning solutions that for interesting, and sound instructional solutions that positively project the company’s brand images.
·   Production of learning resources in a variety of formats including PowerPoint, graphics, audio, video and animation technologies to support curriculum offerings
·   Creating and editing department and company-specific documents
·   Insuring the Cataloging and maintaining of courses and course material is consistent
·   Supporting Training & Development Manager with project overflow and administrative duties
·   Must continually develop skill set to keep up with changing technology and recommend upgrades/changes as needed.
·   Proofread and edit own work and work of others to improve quality, readability, consistency, and effectiveness of documentation

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree (Marketing, Training, Instructional Design) – Required
  • 5-7 Years of Experience (Curriculum design utilizing Adobe Creative Suites (Photoshop, After Effects, Premier, InDesign) Articulate 360, Rise 360, Storyline or equivalent software.) – Required
  • 5-7 Years of Experience (Experience working with different multimedia features such as audio files, graphics, digital photography, animation and gamification tools to create products for mobile learning, micro-learning, and blended courseware.) – Required
  • 5-7 Years of Experience (Experience presenting / teaching / training personnel or equivalent experience) – Required
  • 3-5 Years of Experience (Leading team members or project management) – Required
  • Extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience in all facets of Learning & Development including eLearning Design and deliverables, LMS deployment, video production (generating creative ideas, storyboarding, presentation, producing, budgeting, location & talent sourcing, directing, editing and final optimization), developing wiki pages and SharePoint Sites.
  • Proficiency in creating interactive media and digital media for web publishing and computer-based training solutions.
  • Familiar with all Microsoft Office products, advanced level PowerPoint
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suites Collection: Photoshop, After Effects, Premier, Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign
  • Proficient in Articulate 360 Suite: Articulate, Rise 360 and Storyline.
  • Proficient with graphic and multimedia authoring software and Web site design software
  • Ability to think critically
  • Knowledge of ILMS or SCORM
  • Web-based content and curriculum development knowledge
  • Strong research skills ability to acclimate self in new product categories and technologies
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and to work under pressure most often experienced in start-up organizations
  • Willingness to take constructive critiques and work toward consensus
  • Ensure that all information is consistent, easy to understand, and well organized
  • Proofread and edit own work and work of others to improve quality, readability, consistency, and effectiveness of documentation
  • Ability to understand and communicate concepts quickly and accurately
  • Accomplished presentation skills, including development and delivery
  • Desire to continuously learn new features of development tools and software
  • High attention to detail
  • Work both independently and within a team
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong communication skills for troubleshooting
  • Occasional travel for needs analysis and project development support
  • Travel Percentage – 10%
  • Ideal candidate will live in the PST/MST/CST time zone

Your Pay & Benefits

The pay range posted for this position is based on the location noted in the posting title. Exact compensation offered may vary based on your specific skillset and work location. If the position is bonus or incentive eligible then the maximum payout potential is 200% of target with details laid out within the plan document.
