Sr. Instructional Designer Job

Our aerospace client is seeking a Sr. Instructional Designer/eLearning Developer to work with internal SME’s and existing PowerPoint and digital manual content to create multiple eLearning modules (up to 240 minutes) in Articulate Storyline or Rise to train Avionics Technicians who maintain our client’s networking and Wi-Fi capabilities on various aircrafts (installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting).

The client is not seeking media-centric eLearning as most of the content will be written word instructions. The modules will have very limited interactivity in the form of a small number of knowledge checks. The client’s internal team will assist with chunking the content, but the client requires a skilled Instructional Designer/eLearning developer to storyboard and build the modules in a way that best transmits the knowledge to technicians.

Skills & Experience Requirements:

• Degree in Instructional Technologies or Education preferred.
• 10+ years’ experience in Instructional Design and hands on eLearning Development serving large corporate clients.
• Solid expertise in creating training on technical topics for technical audiences.
• Must have experience in avionics and/or aviation.
• Must offer strong learning design experience.
• Experience with Articulate 360 including Rise and ability to provide your own license and laptop.
• Excellent client and project management skills and experience.

Start: ASAP (late June or first week of July targeted).
Duration: Client prefers completion within ~60 days of project kickoff.
Hours: TBD.

The pay range is $60 to $72 per hour. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, relevant education, certifications and specific work location.
