This role uses eLearning development principles, experience, creativity, and business acumen to meet client requirements and support learner needs, ensuring that new partners feel supported and ready to take on their new role.

    As an Sr e-learning developer, you will have the opportunity collaborate and build relationships across our Learning & Development and client teams, ensuring training solutions that reflect and elevate the Starbucks brand.

    As an e-learning developer, sr, you will…

    • Design and develop innovative, globally relevant digital learning products to increase partner (employee) engagement and performance
    • Build and test responsively designed layouts and interactions using a learning content management system (LCMS)
    • Own the translation, review, and publishing process for digital content
    • Build relationships and collaborate with learning and development (L&D) partners, including instructional designers, media designers, and LMS administrators, on the design and format of eLearning.
    • Ensure eLearning solutions are of high quality and ensure timeline, budget, and quality specifications are met

    We’d love to hear from people with:

    • Strong understanding of the fundamentals of eLearning interface design; experience working through the entire product life cycle and familiarity with human centered design principles
    • Proficiency with a variety of web-development/eLearning authoring tools (dominKnow, Articulate Storyline, Captivate, HTML5, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript or other authoring tools) to support cross-platform deployment
    • Experience with deploying products in a Learning Content Management System (LCMS) and Learning Management System (LMS)
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Adobe Creative Suite
    • Graphic design skills and a demonstrated ability to develop innovative, creative, and highly interactive solutions in eLearning environments
    • Strong knowledge of instructional development methodologies and tools including design documents, scripts/storyboards, screen captures, and audio scripts A working knowledge of SCORM principles, Reusable Learning Objects, and XML
    • Prior experience with translation services
    • Ability to be nimble, navigate ambiguity, while working independently and as part of a team
    • Desire to identify and improve processes and capabilities
    • Carefully consider multiple factors before making decisions

    If you live in the greater Seattle area, we offer a flexible workplace that allows for hybrid work. Partners can work remotely up to two days per week.
