Senior Instructional Designer will design and implement elearning and training solutions for the Equinix sales team. This individual will work with target audiences, stakeholders, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to analyze business needs and develop content that improves outcomes in the sales process.
As a senior member of the instructional design team, you will have opportunities to lead projects, provide mentorship, and build content. On the instructional design team, we promote an evidence-based approach to design, demanding a high degree of both theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of learning.
This is an individual contributor opportunity reporting to the Senior Manager of Instructional Design.
Responsibilities:
- Perform needs analysis to identify skill and knowledge gaps in our sales process
- Communicate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop materials that address learning needs
- Implement thorough assessment and evaluation methodologies to measure learning outcomes, key performance indicators, and return on investment
- Author elearning courses, job aids, and multimedia using a variety of technical tools
- Review and revise existing learning content based on new information, trends, and developments
Qualifications:
- Preference given to candidates with a portfolio of work linked on their resume
- Bachelor’s degree required. Graduate degrees in instructional design/technology preferred.
- 5+ years of full-time experience as an instructional designer in corporate, government, or higher education
- Direct experience with authoring tools such as Articulate, Adobe, Camtasia, Vyond
- Strong theoretical knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design frameworks, evaluation and assessment, learner experience (LX) design, and user experience (UX) design
- Track record of working with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to understand learning needs and implement training programs
- Experience supporting sales, marketing, or customer service a plus
