As a senior instructional systems designer (ISD), you will work with a federal government client and assist the project lead and other functional SME with the design, development and updating of instructor led and eLearning courses in support of VA Whole Health programs. An individual with Whole Health or Clinical subject expertise and knowledge of the subject matter is preferred.
Job Description/Responsibilities:
- Create course specific course design documents.
- Design courses goal statements, objectives, instructor strategies, evaluation methods, and training materials.
- Lead the development of all course materials that may include course outline, background material, training aids, etc.
- Participate in pilot offerings.
- Create training courses that can be delivered synchronous either in person or virtual
- Engage in the implementation and sequential revision of training courses.
- Evaluate team and student feedback data and create reports and recommendations.
- Update course materials to ensure relevancy.
- Course design and development experience with ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model and evaluation experience using Kirkpatrick evaluation model.
- Create content that is 508 compliant.
- Understand and design with Adult Learning Theory.
- Understand and design to facilitate behavioral change.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degrees in health or related field
- Self-Paced online design and development
- Virtual Instructor-Led training design and development
- Instructor-Led training design and development (secondary to online learning)
- ADDIE model
- Adaptive Learning (publishing and SCORM) – SCORM = Shareable Content Object Reference Model (I wasn’t familiar with this term)
- Graphic Design
- 508 Compliance
Preferred:
- Experience with government contracting
