Reporting to the VP of HR, the Learning and Development Manager is responsible for coordinating all learning and development efforts at Sterigenics. This position will partner with internal business departments, HR business partners, subject matter experts and instructional designers to perform needs assessments, provide learning and development expertise and create and deliver learning and development programs that increase individual and organizational performance. This position will have a minimum of one direct report.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create and lead cross-functional training committee to align the L&D strategy with business priorities.
- Evaluate individual and organizational development needs through partnership with HR business partners and the business.
- Partner with Sotera level talent team on overall learning and development opportunities.
- Create and execute learning strategies and programs.
- Design and deliver eLearning courses, webinars and other trainings, particularly in the areas of leadership and management specific to Sterigenics.
- Evaluate program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
- Work cross-functionally with subject matter experts from the Business to define key content areas.
- Manage eLearning content in the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Provide and analyze reports from LMS on the status of training completions, effectiveness, and other operational metrics.
- Coordinate the learning development work stream, ensuring key development timelines are met.
- Troubleshoot and resolve LMS issues and resolve, escalating as needed and initiating vendor tickets for quick resolution
- Test functionality of internal and external SCORM files and other learning materials
- Perform quality assurance on final materials to ensure concepts are properly developed and delivered
Ensure required training courses are completed and aligned with regulatory requirements through partnership with functional teams.
Education, Experience & Skill Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree in Training, Organizational Development and/or Adult Learning a plus
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in delivery of learning and development programs
- Previous experience of management of people a plus
- Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.
- Ability to comfortably interact with all levels of employees, including frontline team members through executive leadership
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining momentum, and managing to project due dates
- Exposure to and/or understanding of regulatory training requirements associated with Quality and Safety a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office and Learning Management Systems
- Proficient in Saba and/or Master Control a plus
- Professional certification (e.g., CPLP, CPTM) a plus
- Exceptional communication and customer relationship skills
