The Leadership and Workforce Development team (LWD), within the Office of Human Resources (OHR), is seeking an experienced Assistant LMS System Administrator to assist with the administration, management and support of the LMS platform (Cornerstone OnDemand). The LWD team provides professional development for ASU employees that enhance professional and leadership growth, job performance and employee recognition.
In the Assistant LMS System Administrator – Part Time role, you will spend part of your time ensuring ongoing consistent, efficient and effective operations for data input, learning records, historical training data, user access and eLearning deployment within the LMS. For the other part, you will provide support on projects and initiatives within the LWD team that help support utilization and enhancements of the LMS. Essential Duties
The successful candidate will work under administrative direction to support the following essential duties.
- Innovate: You will apply innovative thinking to your projects to create new solutions utilizing the LMS.
- Develop: You will develop helpful guides and resources for end users.
- Deliver: You will deliver exceptional customer service to various learners, administrators, and leadership across the university.
- Collaborate: You will work with various stakeholders and subject matter experts including
Department Learning Administrators, HR staff, and Leadership to prioritize and implement initiatives that align with the overall strategic plan and vision of ASU and Human Resources.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Technology, Information Technology or related field AND one (1) years’ experience in database management, systems configuration, e-learning, course authoring software; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Desired Qualifications
- A Master’s degree in a related field.
- Experience working in a higher education setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Google Workspace.
- Demonstrated experience with learning new online applications (e.g., learning management software, Zoom, Cornerstone, Workday, LinkedIn Learning)
Working Environment
- Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse (75%); required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work (10%)
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds (15%)
- Utilize computer, phone, and various office equipment (printer, copier, etc.)
- Utilize various forms of technology – email, Zoom, Google Drive, Zoom phone, Slack, etc. – to communicate with staff, faculty, students, as well as internal and external constituents
- Work with staff, faculty, and students at a higher education/university level, both one-on-one and in a group setting.

This position is eligible for Hybrid work. This is an arrangement where employees spend a minimum of 60% of their regular workweek at their primary ASU work location.
