Overview:
Position Summary:
The LMS Specialist is responsible for supporting efforts around course creation, online course delivery and ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of supporting materials. This person will be responsible for pilot testing course materials in the LMS from a student perspective, completing quality assurance testing of online course, and acting as a liaison for internal and external stakeholders involved with online courses. The position will report directly to the LMS Administrator/e-Learning Developer.
Responsibilities:
- Support and coordinate the configuration for areas within the LMS including the appearance, course objective information, specifications, etc., adhering to the direction and guidance from the LMS Administrator/e-Learning Developer.
- Create course curriculum content master shells.
- Build eLearning module components in the platform for deployment.
- Ensure course content is properly configured prior to end-user delivery as assigned in Salesforce: enroll instructors; setup the virtual classroom; update course information; update and enable intelligent agents.
- Administration and delivery of relevant course materials, acting as point of contact to troubleshoot and support issues with fulfillment.
- Accurately identify, triage, troubleshoot and resolve any technical or learner issues in a prompt and timely manner (initial response within 48 hours); appropriately escalate difficulties to supervisor.
- Support the team to provide usability, accessibility, and quality assurance testing to review the functionality of online course components.
- Engages with cross-functional teams in Sales, Finance, and IT to answer questions related course schedules, cancellations, and learner activity.
- Run basic system reports regarding user data.
- Assist in the documentation and enhancement of current process and procedures; suggest or collaborate with team regarding updates as needed.
- Perform course releases and training communications.
- Provide support in developing, coordinating, and/or conducting training for LMS administrative users.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Adult Education, Instructional Design, or related field preferred
- 4+ years of experience in LMS content management and education experience using LMS platforms (i.e. D2L)
- 2+ years of experience in e-learning design and development
- Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills; confidently articulate information in a professional manner from associate to executive level, and with both internal and external partners
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
- Ability to quickly acquire working knowledge of Salesforce, Course Merchant (eCommerce interface), Cisco WebEx as applicable to Education Delivery Fulfillment
