Job Description
The Learning Technology Specialist under the direction of the Sr. Manager of Technical Training & Learning Technologies is responsible for the implementation streamlining and deployment of all web-based training content through the Learning Management System for all participating OCA businesses through multiple business specific portals. The Learning Technology Specialist exercises the technical expertise to provide advanced support for escalated issues and acts as a liaison between Olympus and learning systems vendor support.
Job Duties
- Work directly with Regulatory Compliance Service and Repair and HR groups to publish controlled documentation to the Learning Management System (LMS) and ensure content is updated as source documentation is revised or updated.
- Work with Instructional Designers and content developers to develop engaging multimedia online content including consultation video and audio recording and editing for OCA businesses participating in the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Publish and maintain final content on the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Oversee the project manager application for published content on the Learning Management System (LMS) updating on a regular basis to ensure project lifespan transparency.
- Ensure that all submitted documentation and content is both approved through relevant regulatory processes and final courses have been tested for quality performance and function before releasing on the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Ensure that all submissions meet technical requirements and standards Maintain archives of all published content on the Learning Management System(LMS) for regulatory compliance and auditing purposes.
- Work with Sr. Manager of Technical Training &Learning Technologies to identify learning and promotional projects to support the business.
- Develop multimedia content (i.e. promotional video audio) as requested to support the needs of the business including training specific to OCA learning technologies.
- Collaborate with Project Manager Learning Systems Designer and Instructional Designers to facilitate and support group goals and business needs for online learning systems.
- Maintain up-to-date expert knowledge and skills on all evolving Learning Management System (LMS) features and procedures as well as related learning technologies and advanced content development.
- Take on additional duties and responsibilities as required.
Job Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related Instructional design or learning technologies field or equivalent industry experience or certification required.
- Minimum 5 years working with eLearning blended learning programs and web-based training development.
Preferred:
- Proven ability and knowledge with eLearning software such as Articulate Captivate or similar is required.
- Proficient skill and experience with LMS platform administration and content publishing such as Oracle Learn or Success Factors required.
- Proficient knowledge and skill with SCORM AIIC Tin Can or other Learning Management System APIs required.
- Experience authoring interactive web content.
