About this role
:

The Learning Specialist will identify, manage, design and deliver company learning and development initiatives in accordance with organizational requirements. Contribute to the strategic direction and development of training within the company. The consultant will inspire and motivate employees to learn, grow and perform through effective partnerships, collaboration with stakeholders, and design programs to engage the learner. As part of the Talent team, this person will focus on supporting initiatives and learning driving a learning environment for continued employee growth in an ever-changing, forward-thinking, people-first environment.


In this role you will
:

  • Support the Bank’s “People First” focus and rules of engagement-maintaining a professional demeanor, working as an active member of the CNOB team, providing all clients excellent service, always striving to make CNOB “A Better Place to Be”.
  • Review and manage existing programs through needs assessments and evaluation activities; work collaboratively with all partners to maintain and enhance quality and effectiveness.
  • Facilitate small-to-medium-scale learning programs to train and develop new and current bank employees.
  • Design learning solutions that demonstrate an understanding of adult learning principles and leverage current learning trends, including eLearning, instructor-led training (in person and virtually), video, gamification, just-in-time, self-paced and social learning experiences from onboarding to continued development for entry-level through management.
  • Leverage knowledge of instructional design and adult learning theories to create and implement blended learning solutions aligned with business priorities with an emphasis on new development and redesign.
  • Support team initiatives, including: needs analyses, program management, employee development.
  • Develop and author e-learning programs using an off-the-shelf authoring tool.
  • Measure and evaluate established learning curricula to determine the impact of tools, processes and learning interventions.
  • Partner with stakeholders, SMEs and learners to gain knowledge of their expertise and transform content into effective learning solutions.
  • Organize and maintain team files, program information, curricula and documentation.

Must haves:

  • Knowledge of adult learning principles.
  • Knowledge of relevant Federal and State banking regulations preferred.
  • Familiarity with Bank security and safety practices preferred.
  • Knowledge of CNOB products and services preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized detail-oriented and self-directed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design or similar.
  • 1-2+ years of delivering and designing custom instructional learning in various formats to include eLearning (e.g. program content, leader and participant materials, exercises, etc.)

  • Previous learning and development experience in the financial industry.
  • Experience with various learning technologies including Learning & Content Management Systems and eLearning tools preferred.
