Under the supervision of the Director, Talent & Leadership Development for Stores, the Learning Design and Curriculum Developer is responsible for the design, development and delivery of innovative learning and capability solutions that support the performance and growth of our Team Members. Solutions may include, but are not limited to curriculum, courses, events, job aids and other performance solutions that may be delivered through first person, multimedia, or deployed materials.
Responsibilities:
Learning Content and Delivery:
- Conducts assessments to identify and satisfy learning needs through surveys, focus groups, reports, product launch results, industry & competitive information, customer input / feedback, and/or direction from management
- Applies best practices and knowledge of instructional design and learning theory to develop learner-centered, performance-based learning programs and initiatives
- Designs content to optimize learning; apply sound learning theory, document learning objectives, develop measurement strategy to support learning objectives
- Works collaboratively with the Talent & Leadership Development team, subject matter experts and other business partners to design and develop modernized learning strategies from conception to delivery
- Supports the design and measurement of program and learning solution metrics, including data analytics and reporting
Project Management :
- Manages assigned projects using project management concepts to meet milestones and project timelines.
Allocates time efficiently, handles multiple demands and competing priorities, demonstrates engagement and support by actively participating and managing the development of learning solutions
Qualifications:
Experience :
- 5-7 years experience in Curriculum Design and Development; includes end-to-end design, development and delivery of innovative learning and capability solutions that meet the needs of the business
- 3-5 years experience in Instructional Design with a focus on blended learning techniques to include but not limited to modern, interactive, adaptive elearning, video, multimedia experiences as well as job and visual aids, mobile learning, and gamification.
Education : Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; emphasis in HR Development, Organizational Development, Adult Education, Instructional or Graphic Design or related field preferred.
Professional Certifications : None.
Other knowledge, skills or abilities :
- Intermediate to advanced experience using MS Office Suite and other software tools required
- Experience with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, or other emerging tools is preferred but not required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required
- Knowledge of adult learning theory preferred
- Store operations experience preferred
