SecureSpace Management LLC is looking for a highly organized, collaborative, and hands-on Learning Manager to build out and implement our training and learning platform across the organization.

Objective:

The Learning Manager will be responsible for working with various departments such as Web Development, Revenue Management, IT, Marketing, and Store Operations to understand and thoughtfully design and develop eLearning curricula and for administering and tracking training programs. Learning Manager should be accustomed to translating learned skills and procedures into effectively designed training materials both in digital and traditional media, a friendly and coachable coach with the ability to train team members in remote or in-person settings, a creative solutions-oriented team player, and process-oriented with the ability to analyze and track the results and progress of performance to determine impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Web Development, Revenue Management, IT, Marketing, and Store Operations to obtain an understanding of all the critical processes and assess the needs of the current training environment
  • Create, update, and manage all training materials based on all the processes and procedures with learning plans and curricula for teams and individuals in collaboration with the Store Operations team
  • Work with HR and the Store Operations team to set up training materials for new hires.
  • Timely development and delivery of training for any updates or changes to processes and systems, including the rollout of new technologies
  • Manage the progress of all team members, analyze effectiveness of training programs on the individual team member-level, and follow up with Store Operations to determine follow up coaching and next steps
  • Design creative and motivational materials that are effective in meeting business objectives
  • Present and lead in-person training sessions, as needed
  • Own the secret shopping program, reviewing and tracking results, and implementing training as needed
  • Help cover stores if coverage is needed

Other Functions:

  • Must be willing to travel to other company sites as necessary
  • Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of training experience, preferably in a multi-location retail or tech environment with an understanding of technology-based and remote learning
  • Exceptional presentation and written/verbal communication skills
  • Results oriented and performance driven motivator
  • Process builder and able to distill complex machination into replicable and digestible tasks
  • Skillful project manager to organize and track the large-scale development of learning plans and programs
  • Ability to model and demonstrate the skills and procedures as well as teach them and connect the training to desired business outcomes
  • Self-storage experience, preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Current Driver’s License to facilitate travel – travel may be required (up to 50%)
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
