    The role’s primary objective is to make engineers, learners, auditors, and instructors successful by providing the most effective learning programs in the aerospace, medical, and transportation and gas industries. This role provides agile project oversight and strategy for the design and rapid development of courseware that maximize knowledge transfer and participant learning and retention for assigned eLearning, instructor led training (ILT), and blended learning projects and is responsible for course project completion within targeted budgets. This role manages a portfolio of courses through a lifecycle of revision, elimination, and replacement and leads and manages a senior and junior development team (internal and contractors) in multiple locations including virtual.

    • 40%- Prioritizes the conceptualization, development, and launch of learning products, including new and legacy courses. Analyzes the needs and characteristics of the target audience, including current knowledge, education, tasks, knowledge and skill gaps, work environment, and learning preferences. Analyzes current portfolio content and financials to develop and deliver a product roadmap to create a new portfolio of learning content and strategically plans, budgets, and schedules course development to meet program revenue and growth goals. Works directly with stakeholders, course developers, subject matter experts, reviewers, and end users to scope new learning projects.
    • 20%- Sources, grows, and manages network of development talent including internal, contractor, and vendor to support the product roadmap and workflow. Supports courseware development by sourcing development tools and resources and implementing and managing development processes, development standards, and supporting documentation.
    • 15%- Contributes to the achievement of PRI’s organizational goals and additional projects as assigned. Establishes relationships with PRI’s internal customers. Supports PRI’s internal departments by recommending design and development solutions and overseeing the design and development lifecycle including analyzing internal customer needs, budgeting, managing projects, and producing videos.
    • 10%- Positions PRI as a thought leader in Nadcap education and professional development by staying current with trends in design and development principles, tools, and technology and technology that impacts aerospace, medical, and transportation engineering, assessments, and credentialing.
    • 10%- Manages staff and supervisor-developed Personal Development Plans, serves as a leader and coach to employees to advance quality, improve customer service, and build and sustain collaborative relationships.
    • 5%- Works with the Learning Technology Specialist and team to establish functional and delivery requirements, LMS set‐up, testing scenarios, and pilot groups, and participates in end user testing.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Multimedia, Education, Writing, Visual Arts, Science, Engineering, Business, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
    • 15+ years of experience in instructional design, program development, e‐Learning, instructional technology, or related business required.
    • Experience in new learning product development, particularly in technical disciplines, required.
    • Global business experience preferred.
    • Proven acumen in finances including creation of business cases, revenue plans, and resource budgets.
    • Proven ability to engage with consumers and their stakeholders in all key contexts, ranging from needs assessment to sales.
    • Demonstrated emotional intelligence and ability to win trust and motivate diverse teams.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to make decisions quickly and execute initiatives in ambiguous and dynamic environments.
    • Leadership that challenges preconceived perspectives against consumer needs and encourages risk-taking and a culture of open, direct communication.
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate, build and strengthen working relationships, and gain alignment across business units and functional groups.
    • Excellent writing and verbal presentation skills enabling candidate to prepare and present complex information and recommendations to a diverse audience.
    • Knowledge of SCORM and AICC standards as they relate to courseware development and LMS interoperability preferred.
    • Experience in or understanding of aerospace industries preferred.
    • Working knowledge of technical trends and technology in the mobility industry preferred.
    • Highly developed planning and organizational skills required.
    • Solid understanding of educational assessment, design, development, and evaluation principles and methods required.
    • Video production skills required.
    • Ability to work and supervise effectively in a virtual team environment.
    • Ability to travel 15% of time required.
