POSITION PURPOSE

Create learning experiences that enhances retention and transfer of knowledge, skills and abilities across the enterprise. The Learning Experience Designer is responsible for analyzing, designing, building, and implementing business-aligned, integrated learning solutions using a variety of techniques and tools.

NATURE AND SCOPE

• This role does not manage people
• This role reports to this job: MANAGER, TALENT DEVELOPMENT
• Necessary Contacts: In order to effectively fulfill this position, the incumbent will be in contact with immediate team members, including Manager & Director, HR Division, and organizational project teams (such as Compliance).

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Bachelor’s in Education, Instructional Design or related field is required
• Four years of related experience can be used in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.

Work Experience

• 2 years of training and development is required
• 2 years of curriculum design and eLearning development is preferred
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing eLearning solutions and working experience with various instructional technology is required.
• Experience can run concurrently

Skills and Abilities

• Skilled in eLearning and video/audio authoring tools such as Articulate 360/Storyline/Rise, Camtasia and basic HTML.
• Formal knowledge of instructional systems design methodology and industry recognized methods of evaluation of learning.
• Proven ability to work efficiently, effectively and proactively in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, dynamic and virtual environment.
• Proven ability to work in a cross-organizational team environment collaborating with the business or project leads on key deliverables pertaining to learning gaps of various target audiences.
• Knowledge of relevant course delivery platforms and Learning Management Systems or Learning Experience platforms preferred.
• Must be highly organized, flexible and be able to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding, deadline-oriented environment, while managing competing demands simultaneously.
• Innovative and visionary mindset required to strategically drive the transformation of the learning experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact frequently with subject matter experts and management representing project milestones and risks, business requirements and other key concepts.
• Self-motivated, innovative and able to assume responsibility and work autonomously in a professional manner.

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Design and build transformative learning experience across different modalities (e.g., instructor-led training, virtual instructor-led training and eLearning).
• Collaborates with business partners on expected business outcomes.
• Participates in needs analysis and recommends effective learning solutions.
• Collaborates with other content developers, graphic designers, technology consultants and project team members on design, development, implementation and evaluation of learning solutions.
• Uses all approved processes, tools and templates for standardization of development and reporting.
• Actively maintains all content. Participates in quality review process.
• Participates in and contributes to Talent Development project teams , communities of practice and other opportunities to enhance knowledge and skill.
• Assesses, measures and develops programs to enhance employee performance.
• Identifies and maintains best practices and departmental procedures for content implementation.
