Devereux’s National Talent and Learning Team is currently seeking an instructional designer to support the product design and development activities of a new Career Development program and other organizational learning programs and initiatives. Primary activities include creative instructional design and development of online and blended resources, curation of existing internal and external content, and curriculum design for career paths and professional development. At Devereux, we are committed to providing innovative learning resources to our employees to support their growth. The responsibilities of this position can be performed remotely.

As the selected Learning Experience and Curriculum Designer, you will:
  • Create and curate learning resources and activities to support the design of career paths within multiple tracks (clinical, nursing, education, leadership, etc.);
  • Design instruction/learning resources in a variety of delivery formats including eLearning, micro learning, instructor-led, on-the-job, and blended learning methods;
  • Contribute as part of the national talent and learning team in support of our career development department, and collaborate across all other organizational departments/functions;
  • Assist in enhancing the transfer of knowledge and skill to our employees;

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in instructional design, human resources, adult education, or a related field;
  • Three or more years of experience designing staff training and development within a variety of settings, delivery formats, and audiences;
  • Experience working in talent development, career planning, higher education, or related;
  • Understanding of adult learning theory and experience in curriculum and course design
  • Requires strong technology skills and proficiency in hardware and software including: eLearning authoring tools, SCORM standards, Audio/Video editing;
  • Basic understanding of Learning Management Systems and/or Talent Management Systems;
  • Experience with additional software tools related to internet and intranet design a plus;
  • Must be very detail oriented, have the ability to work independently, make decisions, and apply discretion under indirect supervision.
