    As APEI’s Learning Development Specialist, you will promote the use of learning resources and encourage employees to take ownership of their professional growth while fostering a culture for continuous learning and development within the organization.

    In collaboration with department and organizational stakeholders, you will utilize the Learning Management System to develop and deploy well-organized and effective learning experiences that improve leader effectiveness, increase speed to productivity, and ensure organizational compliance.

    This position reports to the Manager of Learning & Development.

    Responsibilities:

    LMS Administration

    • Day-to-day administration, configuration, maintenance, and operations of the LMS
    • Configuration and catalog administration of curricula, instructor-led courses, eLearning courses, videos, and materials such as policies/acknowledgments. Ensures all training material is up to date and in compliance with local, state, and federal law or association/industry best practices.
    • Manage roles, security, and permissions associated with the system.
    • Maintain data integrity, including course codes, descriptions, and other required information.
    • Testing and deploying new / revised SCORM/AICC e-learning content in various learning formats.
    • Maintaining and creating dynamic learning assignments and custom groups.
    • Configure and distribute development reporting analytics for the business, which includes the generation of custom reports and dashboards.
    • Create robust automation and notification business processes, including email notifications, escalation procedures, and course enrollments.
    • Collaborate with vendors, curriculum designers, and content developers to set up courses within the LMS environment and ensure course content is accurate and accessible.
    • Respond to inquiries from internal customers (employees) and assist them with technical support, course/class assignments, and overall digital adoption.
    • Develop learning materials to maximize end-user experience and adoption of our LMS.
    • Collaborate with others as needed to design or modify the curriculum repository in the LMS.
    • Train power users and administrators on LMS processes, procedures, and back-end functionality.

    Learning & Development Support

    • Assess the effectiveness of training programs through participant feedback, evaluations, and key performance indicators.
    • Revises existing training programs and materials based on audit results, questionnaires, changing procedures, and feedback from internal/ external customers, subject matter experts, program sponsors, and leaders.
    • Design, develop, and assess instructional materials, including training manuals, job aids, assessments, training activities, eLearning videos/tutorials, and evaluation tools.
    • Own logistics leading up to learning experiences, including but not limited to coordinating schedules, ordering materials & supplies, coordinating invitations and travel details, meeting space needs, and ensuring successful communication planning and execution.
    • Triage all Learning and Development service tickets, ensuring internal customers’ technical issues, including transcript and system issues, are resolved.
    • Own organizational-level New Hire Orientation (NEO) and onboarding process. Collaborating with business partners ensures an engaging, scalable, and impactful experience.
    • Collaborate and consult with functional leaders on department-level onboarding. Act as SME to assist teams in updating, transitioning, and developing programs that are scalable, applying adult learning best practices and measurement to ensure success.

    Requirements:

    • 2+ years of LMS administration experience. (previous Docebo experience a plus).
    • Experience developing, implementing, and delivering training content, manuals, guides, and course materials.
    • Knowledge of principles and methods for adult learning, training design, instruction, and the measurement of training effectiveness.
    • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to plan, identify, coordinate, and track critical activities, milestones, and deliverables.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey information effectively to various audiences.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail while juggling multiple tasks.
    • Proficient computer skills needed, including MS Office, Teams, and SharePoint.
    • Experience with eLearning software integration with an LMS (SCORM / AICC, xAPI).
    • Effective planning, time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
