In addition, the TLD Specialist assists in managing, developing, and delivering custom programs that utilize virtual training systems.

Facilitate or co-facilitate learning engagements, using varied intructional methods.
-
Assist with the design and delivery of all types of learning experiences for professional development, leadership, compliance, and custom programs.

Serve as a point of contact for training participants and learning requests from UCAR|NCAR staff
-
Build relationships and collaborate with Compliance Officers to determine compliance needs, content, and cadence.
-
Engage with external vendors to build training curricula, plan logistics and communication, and evaluate training materials prepared by instructors, such as outlines, text, and handouts.
-
Plan, coordinate, and facilitate monthly New Employee Orientations; ensure new hires are enrolled in online and live orientation, follow-up training, and other events.

Develop eLearning content and training videos using authoring software (e.g., Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, etc.)
-
Create course evaluations to measure the effectiveness of programs and oversee metrics to monitor program outcomes.
-
Manage Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) by processing applications, answering questions, troubleshooting issues, and revising procedures as needed.

Research industry best principles and practices, and apply findings into our talent and learning development framework.

Provide administrative and logistical assistance to the TLD team and key stakeholders on training programs and initiatives.

Respond to training participant communication promptly, requests and issues.
-
Manage technical functions for virtual training sessions and coordinate course pre-work and communication with learning participants.
-
Schedule training, reserve rooms, organize services/logistics, and set up equipment and materials for training events.
-
Maintain TLD electronic and physical filing systems, including training records.
-
Manage and monitor Workday Learning and LinkedIn Learning courses to maintain training and development efficiencies.

Provide support for Learning Leads with course creation and waitlists.
-
Collaborate with IT by providing insight and testing on updates to LMS, as needed, and manage help desk tickets for resolution of issues submitted for assistance.

Monitor the TLD website and update content to ensure materials and training news are current and accessible.

Manage and maintain in-house training equipment and supplies.
-
Bachelor’s degree in organizational development, education, training & development, Human Resources Management or a related field
-
Two (2) years of experience in a training and development role; or a combination of equivalent education and experience.

Knowledge of training delivery platforms and learning management systems
-
Experience with webinars and video streaming platforms used in a virtual training setting
-
Technology savvy; strong proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite
-
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating professionalism, tact, and diplomacy
-
Ability to organize, prioritize, and coordinate multiple projects concurrently, with strong attention to detail
-
Experience with data collection, analysis, and reporting
-
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with staff at all levels to provide excellent customer service

Must be comfortable and confident in a fast-paced, complex, and dynamic work environment

Ability to work independently, taking initiative to improve productivity, quality, and/or efficiency wherever possible

Experience with Workday Learning (Human Capital Management system).

Experience with developing asynchronous training (e.g., Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, etc.)

Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies

Experience developing organizational learning programs for a diverse audience, specifically scientific/technical employees and leaders

Experience facilitating learning experiences and compliance reporting for management

Experience coordinating internal programs and procuring external training programs.
