    About the Role

    Kitsap Credit Union is hiring a full-time salaried Sr. Learning Development Specialist to work hybrid out of our Bremerton Harborside location. The Learning and Development team delivers programs that prepare employees to best serve members at every stage of their career, while at the same time preparing our employees to take the next step in their own careers. Development at Kitsap Credit Union is a vital part of our culture, and we are making investments to breathe even more life into our development goals. Part of that investment is to create this new position to enhance our L&D capabilities. Candidates must work in Washington state and be able to attend and deliver onsite training at KCU headquarters in Bremerton, WA as well as occasionally at all branch locations.

    Salary Range: $87,248 – $130,872 depending on experience

    Bonus Target: 10% potential incentive of base pay

    Working Hours: Monday – Friday 8AM – 5PM

    Grade: 13BC

    What you will do

    • Collaborates closely with the Learning and Development director and business leaders to identify training needs, create engaging learning materials, and deliver impactful training programs and experiences.
    • Develops learning materials including instructor and student guides, job aids, quick reference guides, eLearning modules, webinars, and podcasts.
    • Facilitates training sessions, delivering engaging in-person and virtual content.
    • Partners with Human Resources to ensure learning is in alignment with career development paths.
    • Assists in the selection of learnings tools, systems, and platforms. Works closely with the DEIB Committee and consultants to integrate equitable and inclusive content and best practices into learning experiences.
    • Takes responsibility for all aspects of trainings, including instructor-led and online content design and delivery, onsite venue location and logistics, vendor contract management, communication, learner’s preparation, registration, material distribution, and post-training evaluations.

     

     

    Basic Qualifications

    • 5+years of experience in a learning and development role such as trainer, facilitator, presenter, content developer, or manager of related projects and programs.
    • 5+ years of experience leading and partnering with cross-functional teams, involving key stakeholder relationship management.
    • 5+ years of experience designing, delivering, and improving enterprise Leadership Development programs.
    • 5+ years of experience facilitating and presenting to senior and executive leaders.
    • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles.
    • Ability to work flexible work hours, as needed.
    • Strong technical skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and virtual meeting software.

     

     

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and valuing different perspectives. Understanding of the integration of DEI to learning and development programs.
    • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
    • Flexibility and willingness to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization to accomplish responsibilities.
    • Proven effectiveness in managing multiple projects, with the ability to organize and coordinate work efficiently, pay attention to details, prioritize workload, adapt to changing priorities, and adhere to deadlines.
    • Experience with a LMS and using course authoring software.
    • Experience building leadership development and manager training.
    • Experience leading teams through process and change management
    • Experience with a financial institution
