The Learning Content Developer is responsible for developing engaging, efficient, effective, and empowering training content to support all departments and teams at WOW! through collaboration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:

  • Contributes and supports content that impacts learning through multiple training modalities, based on team deliverables and company goals
  • Defines, develops, and/or refines content for multiple departments, projects, and subjects
  • Infuses materials with excitement and engagement through accuracy in adult learning, technical writing, and creativity
  • Communicates and collaborates with stakeholders, SMEs, and all WOW! teams
  • Develops material for presentation in multiple formats, including instructor-led, self-study, eLearning, LMS, blended, micro-learning, gamification, and other media tools
  • Performs needs analysis, specifying graphic movement, format, and polished learning
  • Evaluates and measures content to refine and improve learning
  • Coordinates and reviews materials to ensure consistent delivery and implementation of all company initiatives and effective knowledge transfer to participants
  • Proactively engages in communication, identifies and acts upon opportunities
  • Creates, develops, and refines content based on new and existing courseware and ensures content is accurate, concise, and sustainable
  • Runs quality assurance checks by testing the course from a technical and accuracy perspective
  • Presents content to stakeholders, conducts train the trainer sessions, and implements feedback into courseware
  • Provides creative engaging content for compelling learning; customizes material for specific audiences or markets
  • Completes analysis of quality by monitoring patterns and trends and uses analysis findings to make improvement recommendations in learning content
  • Organizes plans for project initiatives to provide expectations of material delivery and materials needed as a team member

Education:

  • Two year college degree in a relevant business field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience/Skills Needed:

  • 2-3 years related experience
  • Creatively collaborate with a fun team
  • Effectively self-manage project assignments
  • Efficiently multitask and effectively organize time
  • Work independently (self-motivated) and adapt work schedule to the needs of the department
  • Communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) across all departments and at all levels of the organization, including by demonstrating active listening
  • Effectively analyze problems and reach resolutions in a timely manner


Computer Skills:

  • Excellent computer skills, with proven ability to learn new applications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Basic understanding of HTML, Adobe and other authoring software, Snag-It and G Suite
  • Basic understanding of learning management systems (LMSs) and knowledgebase repositories
  • Experience in videography and photography a plus
  • Experience using portable document format PDF conversion utilities
