    Our large retail client is seeking a Learning Architect/Project Manager to assist their internal team in the planning and execution of a variety of learning projects. Qualified consultants will be skilled in working in an Agile environment and using sprints (Scrum/Jira). In this role, you will be the strategist that determines the right solution and will also be the director for ensuring projects are delivered on time and with quality. This requires a strong partnership with product owners, business partners, and Instructional Designers and Developers.

    Main Deliverables/Tasks:
    Deliverables will focus on Project Strategy Plans, Training Project Plans, Project Development Schedules, and other things to assure that the Instructional Designers working on various projects are set up for success in the creation of various learning deliverables.

    Responsibilities:

    Drive Learning Strategy Development and Continuous Improvement

    • Consult stakeholders to understand audience, learning needs, knowledge gaps, and behavioral changes to validate need for learning development.
    • Facilitate brainstorming sessions to identify solutions.
    • Recommend scalable end-to-end learning strategies for learning transfer, assessment strategy, and ensuring alignment with adult learning principles, technology and business infrastructure.
    • Present strawman/training outlines of proposed strategies.
    • Ensure training effectiveness via interpreting quantitative and qualitative data and analyzing gaps in content and learning materials.
    • Present training effectiveness results and recommendations for enhancements or adjustments.

    Direct Learning Content Development

    • Create development schedules including estimated level of effort and resourcing in Wrike.
    • Monitor progress against project plans and communicate risks and mitigation strategies.
    • Identify SME requirements and partner stakeholders to identify SMEs.
    • Complete project close out activities.

    Build Relationships and Expert Consultation

    • Take a consultative approach when faced with ambiguity to drive clarity and action.
    • Take a broad perspective and offer recommendations outside of specific learning solutions, like change management, program management, communications when needed or would add value.
    • Establish relationships inside and outside of the team to build awareness of all bodies of work with Associate Learning & Leadership
    • Regularly communicate project updates with stakeholders and business partners.

    Contribute to a Learning Culture

    • Benchmark against industry standards and emerging trends.
    • Collaborate across teams to align work, avoid duplicative efforts, and increase quality.
    • Participate in continuous improvement activities (post-mortems, sprint retros, and content reviews).

    Skills & Experience Requirements:

    • Degree in Instructional Technologies or Education preferred.
    • 10+ years in hands on instructional design and development for Fortune 500 clients.
    • Must have excellent knowledge of adult learning principles, best practices in instructional design and development, and current trends in the creation of engaging and effective learning experiences.
    • Must offer strong learning design experience.
    • 5+ years of L&D Project Management experience including working directly with stakeholders and various business units in conceptualizing and designing and developing training across a broad spectrum of needs.
    • Experience creating learning strategy, learning outlines, needs analysis, and project plans.
    • Experience with Articulate 360 and other major eLearning development tools and their capabilities for creating consumable learning parts
    • Experience with Wrike Project Management software tool a plus
    • Consultant must provide their own laptop (will access internal systems and files via VPN).
    • Excellent at working cross-functionally and in ambiguous environments with agility.

    Start: Late-June to early July.
    Duration: Through 12/31/2024.
    Hours: 40 hours per week with somewhat flexible working hours (client in CST).

    The pay range is $60 to $75 per hour. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, relevant education, certifications and specific work location.
