The Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for managing non-administrative tasks of the Learning Management System (LMS), assisting in the creation of training materials and e-learning programs, producing virtual training, vendor coordination, client coordination, and back up to the Learning Development Assistant and the Sr. Learning and Development Specialist.
Essential Duties
- Answer questions and troubleshoot issues related to the Learning Management system.
- Correspond with vendors regarding issues, questions, additional functionality desired, customization of programs, and software upgrades.
- Ensure the functionality and accuracy of data in the LMS.
- Create/maintain learning plans for compliance and professional skills in the LMS.
- Coordinate development of annual compliance learning plans with stakeholders.
- Assist in the creation of eLearning, Tasks, Assessments and Surveys; load into LMS or send through third party vendor.
- Assist in updating/creating training materials as necessary.
- Produce virtual training sessions and webinars.
- Create and edit videos, both live action and animated.
- Maintain spreadsheets related to live and virtual instructor-led training effectiveness.
- Maintain the department website on SharePoint.
- Support other departments in completion of departmental projects by serving primarily as an internal public relations representative.
Non-Essential Duties
- Serve as a back-up to the Learning and Development Assistant and the Sr. Learning and Development Specialist.
- Support specific department tasks as needed.
Required Knowledge
- Basic understanding of the banking industry and regulations
- Expertise with Learning Management System functionalities
- Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel
- Virtual training platforms
Complies with all State and Federal Banking regulatory requirements, including but not limited to: BSA, Anti-Money Laundering OFAC, CIP, Financial Elder Abuse Reporting, Sexual Harassment, Information Security and privacy requirements. This position will elevate suspicious activity to supervisory staff and/or BSA department. Completes compliance and other technical training workshops as assigned.

- Office setting w/controlled temperature
Education and Experience:
- High School equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience in a financial institution preferred
- Experience as a Teller, New Accounts or Operations a plus
