Position Summary:
The Career Mobility Specialist partners with the Director of Talent Pathways and Learning to establish, implement, and execute internal mobility policies, procedures, and best practices. This position requires a combination of work done remotely from home, and onsite in our Administration office.
Primary Function of Position:
The Learning and Development Specialist II will support and collaborate with the Talent Pathways and Learning team and other internal stakeholders to develop and deliver innovative high-impact learning content aligned with HealthPoint’s strategic goals. This position is responsible for supporting the design, development, deployment, and measurement of our comprehensive learning and training solutions and programs to improve individual and group performance as well as to ensure effective learning and training content is built to target critical skills and behaviors that drive learners’ success and meet business needs while integrating the HealthPoint culture throughout. This role leverages current and future technology to enhance access to program content for employees while keeping the team’s visual design elements innovative and user-centric. This position requires a combination of work done remotely from home, and onsite in our Administration office.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Instructional Design – 60%
- Partner directly with subject matter experts and other stakeholders to design and develop engaging content for a variety of audiences and delivery modes (online, webinar, etc.) with clear strategies and tactics to achieve desired learning outcomes
- Maintain and revise existing learning products, keeping the specific audiences, learning modality, and other learning considerations in mind while always looking for the most efficient way to express the desired learning objectives
- Serve as project manager on simultaneous learning initiatives with the ability to stay within timelines and budgets. Able to adjust to changes in priorities or scope of projects as needed
- Develop quick reference guides, interactive PDF documents, and other learning documentation
- Produce facilitator guides/scripts for instructor-led and virtual classroom learning
- Edit presentation slide decks from facilitators to streamline design for workshop series sessions
- Design within the current company style guide and standards
- Use slide decks, videos, infographics, games, interactive learning, and blended approaches
- Partner with teammates to create live and virtual learning materials
- Use feedback mechanisms with Requestors, Facilitators, and other IDs to make targeted improvements to learning programs and content
- Seek new ways to develop content that is simple and engaging
- Put together a learning experience for learner-led content and materials
- Keep up to date with current trends in Learning and Development to ensure we are taking advantage of the most up-to-date technologies and techniques
Technology and Software Utilization – 25%
- Monitor & contribute to internal online employee social communities
- Maintain online training content and document libraries in Docebo Learn LMS system
- Proficient in using Office 365, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Adobe Captivate to author eLearning
Program Support – 10%
- Facilitate in-person and virtual classroom learning sessions, acting as a Sole Facilitator or in the Producer role
- Perform administrative functions necessary to schedule, deliver, and document training programs, communities, and tools
- Maintain training records within the learning management system (LMS), participate in LMS platform upgrades and customizations, and provide technical support across LMS and learning technologies
- Assists in the planning, organizing, and coordination of the annual employee learning week
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor – 5%
Secondary Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide backup LMS administration duties
Attend staff meetings and participate in agency committees and task force activities as required
Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:
Educational/Environment Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED plus 3-5 years of related experience (instructional design, curriculum development, visual communication, graphic design, learning & development, organizational / talent development, human-centered design, or education-focused roles) or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Potential for hybrid work location (2-3 or 3-2, office /Renton, WA Admin campus)
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proven instructional design competency [Portfolio requested]
- Ability to self-manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality results with a focus on detailed execution
- Ability to work both in a team focused on common goals, as well as self-directed to complete individual deliverables by project deadlines
- Interest in and ability to interact with a distributed, multi-cultural and multi-generational team
Required Technical/Software Skills:
- Design software: Adobe Creative Cloud suite, including InDesign, Acrobat Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- eLearning software: Adobe Captivate
- Virtual Classroom platforms: Webex, MS Teams
- Basic content development tools: MS Office 365, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
Preferred Skills/Abilities:
- Basic HTML and SharePoint skills, preferred
- Administrative experience with LMS systems (Docebo Learn preferred)
Proof of immunizations and/or immunity to: COVID-19, MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella), Varicella, Annual Influenza, and TB are required for all employees. Additionally, if you work in a HealthPoint clinic, Tdap (within last 10 years) is required. Hepatitis B. is required for clinical employees with potential exposure to blood/blood products. All immunizations are a condition of employment. Upon hire, employees must provide proof of their immunizations and/or immunity prior to starting or no later than their fifth (5) business day of employment.
