Summary:
This position is responsible for defining and executing BrandsMart’s learning and development strategy to deliver impactful learning solutions for BrandsMart team members that supports the organization’s business strategy. This leader is responsible for developing relationships with business leaders to thoroughly understand business needs and translating those needs into training resources or programs that raise the competencies of BrandsMart team members.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Partner with Operations, Merchandising, Human Resources, and other stakeholders to identify learning needs in the field and Store Support Center
· Develop programs that improve skill gaps within the organization using appropriate delivery methods, including but not limited to, new hire onboarding and store team promotion paths
· Help manage external partners, including training providers or L&D platforms, as needed
· Manage the projects, technologies, talent, and processes required to develop, deliver, and maintain impactful training
· Improve and manage the vendor training program for store sales teams
· Objectively quantify the impact training has on meeting the business needs and improving team member performance
· Support a continuous improvement culture where efficiency, effectiveness and quality of learning solutions and services methodically improve
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
· Retail industry and operations experience
· 2+ years of experience contributing to the development of a learning strategy
· 2+ years of experience managing multiple concurrent projects, leveraging project management methods and tools
· Experience effectively managing relationships at multiple levels within a company
· A proven record of accomplishment related to training program development and management
Required Skills:
· Familiarity with Learning Management Systems with the ability to develop and deploy learning management technology
· Expert knowledge and application of Instructional Design processes, trends, tools, and adult learning principles
· Experience with implementing learning and development programs across a variety of learning platforms (LMS, eLearning/mobile, workshop, virtual classroom, and evaluations)
· Ability to problem solve by collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions
· Strong ability to lead and apply organizational change management
· Excellent facilitation, public speaking, and communication skills
· Travel up to 25%
